Daria Werbowy + Inez Van Lamsweerde / Vinoodh...
In honour of halloween I thought I would bring you my favourite costume: the “nudist on strike”, or the birthday suit. You can decide what you like better. And although it’s cold outside (for the Northern hemisphere, anyways), who doesn’t like to show a little skin in exchange for candy? Did you catch my post on nudity? How about this interview with Mariano Vivanco?...

Paper One Year + Contributors
This website is only a part of my life. The other has been consumed by creating a magazine. Kudos to those who have already established their publications, because it’s fucking difficult. I’ve rounded out the list to thirteen (solid) contributors. Fashion photographers, youth, and the like. I don’t just half-ass it. Below is a sample of some ink design I’ve been doing for...

Paris is Burning + Vogueing
“It’s been really unbelievable my life. If I was to die today or tomorrow, I could not say I’ve not had an exciting life. I have had a fabu — and I’m not rich, mind you.” — Labeija

Peintures de Guerre + Anja Rubik
Anja Rubik is a warrior. Not only because she looks completely unrecognizable in every editorial she appears in, but because she’s bloody versatile. She could probably chop off some dudes head while still looking spot on. Can we make that the newest compliment? You look spot on.

Nudity / NSFW / Terry / Lara / Fashion
I will try to keep this from breaching on preaching. However, I find that these days with everybody becoming more and more desensitized, it’s tough to grab the attention of the average passerby without taking brash measure. This is not safe for work, by the way. I would like to just touch on nudity in the fashion industry; specifically insofar it shows up in editorials. I understand that...

Kenzo + Sofiyana
If you married electro with a gregorian chant, you’d get this. The new Kenzo campaign video by Frederic Sofiyana is really cool! This is an interesting way to view a campaign, if I may say so. I think it’s the first time I’ve ever wanted to actually buy the clothes shown by a designer. The video is super fresh, with the sounds of a dungeon choir (if those exist), it makes me want...

Hedi Slimane + 80's Revival
I feel like we’ve seen this before. Rolling Stone circa 1978 I’d wager. But I suppose the whole young british kids start a band always makes for an interesting story. Reminds me of Detroit Rock City, in a way. Good movie if you’ve never seen it. I’m glad to see the world is finally recycling though, we are living in a modern age period of vintage fashion or 80’s...

Alana Zimmer + Minoru Kaburagi
How can you not love when two creative people come together to create one exquisite piece of art? I think they both knew I would have a heyday if they worked together. They had me in mind, for sure. So before I get you too confused, I’m talking about the editorial with one of my favourite Canadian models, Alana Zimmer combined with the über quality of photographer Minoru Kaburagi for IT...

Lily Cole + Dazed & Confused
Lily Cole an actress? I didn’t believe it until I did some deeper searching. And actually, I’m quite impressed. I hadn’t even heard of this movie but it could be something I might put down some coins for… Jay-Z was unreal. Even at his concert he seemed so humble, and he cared for each and every person in there. He kept stressin’ about dreams. Follow your dreams....

Bombshell Friday
TGIF you sons of stitches. I thought I might blow your mind with a bunker full o’ delish photos from the best eds this week. Featuring Tavi from Style Rookie, (I’ll have you know she was contacted for interview before she blew up so large, but she politely declined. These were her words: “Hi Trey, I haven’t been taking many commitments lately and will have to say no but...

Modelinia + Coco Rocha
Coco is Canadian. I think it’s the cold chill of winter that gives us up here a sense of humour. Sounds like she reminisces about Vancouver with the weather New York often provides: “It’s now October and I’m back here in New York enjoying the fall weather. Crisp air and sunshine remind me of Vancouver.” Her blog is some read. She’s a genius.

Paper One Year + Lucas Gatsas
Here is a petit first look of what is to come in the first ever issue of See Like Me in paper. Yes, my friends. See Like Me is heading, inevitably, to paper. The project, entitled Paper One Year, is a celebration. The plan has not evolved much past a single issue to celebrate a gorgeous and long year online, but I’ve got an exclusive interview and photo shoot with Swiss photographer Lucas...

Vogue Italia + Coco Rocha
Although that induced high from turkey can only last so long, this editorial that I ascertained I found to be quite fitting for this holiday. Pilgrims. And hot ones at that. I know; and you’re welcome. This holiday is too short. And on a more serious tangent, we should be appreciative of all that we’ve experienced, own, and want to share. “When people are ready to, they change....

Cristina Capucci
It’s all about feeling with Cristina Capucci. Some images can often evoke feelings or memories in the viewer, but Cristina doesn’t give a damn if it works or not. Here, her models definitely push that sense of evocation onto the viewer, and somehow, it works. Looking at her images is refreshing, and makes me want to be sexy, but with clothes on. It’s trying hard without trying....

Patti Smith + Malgosia Bela
“My mission is to communicate, to wake people up, to give them my energy and accept theirs” — Patti Smith Don’t you think Malgosia Bela would play a good Patti Smith? If this idea ever gets used by some big league fashion photographer just know it was I who thought it first!

Simone de Rijk Interview
Simone de Rijk [See-mon-uh duh Reik], a new model from Arnhem, Netherlands, plans to make her way to the top. Placed with Ulla Models in Amsterdam and Joy in Milan, this girl is sure to be a success story. With a haunting face that is sure to catch your eye, it’s hard to deny her northern appeal. Her eyes are enough to hold you in a trance, which is just one of the many skills this talented...

Ronald certainly doesn’t stoop. Thank you to whoever submitted this. Finally, a photographer worth mention. Check out Ronald Stoops. Strange he hails from the Netherlands. Home to many of my favourite photographers. I ought to go there someday. They just crank out talent them Dutch. He’s done shit for Dazed & Confused, i-D, Self Service, Purple, and Vogue Hommes International....

Numéro Tokyo + Toni Garrn
The November editorials are already flooding in, kind of like this Vancouver weather, and Toni Garrn shines as usual. The other guys are a real compliment. I mean, the way she hangs off them makes her look so cool. Maybe she needs a girlfriend. Numéro Tokyo always has good shit. Kind of like Vogue Nippon. Coincidence? The asians know what’s hot. And right now it’s Toni Garrn.
