Vogue Hommes Japan Digital #1 - Picture in Motion
What I love about fashion is how it’s endless - ideas never run out, and people think of new ways to be innovative. Print magazines sales may start to decline, but that just means it’s an opportunity for something even more advanced to take over. Magazines are starting to publish issues via the internet now, something which the iPad is good for. Editor in chief of Vogue Hommes Japan Kazuhiro Saito is pushing this envelope of today’s new technology and is releasing a special issue of the prestigious Vogue Hommes Japan only available online and on the iPad. This issue features a moving editorial by Pierre Debusschere who shot models Brian Blank, Christopher Landon , Corey Baptiste and Eryck Laframboise, with styling by Nicola Formichetti in collaboration with Dior Homme (unsurprisingly). Not sure if ‘Picture in Motion’ is the name of this editorial, but it makes sense, no? Reed + Rader’s editorial for The Contributing Editor, ‘FUTUR3 P3RF3CT’ was the first thing that popped in my head once I saw this. If your computer is too slow to handle moving models and GIFs, GET WITH THE TIMES.
