Ode à la Thumbnail
So I thought I’d try something a little mismatched. The photography sites I visit vary from site to site.
I mean, you’ve got those long to load ones where the stupid flash takes a fortnight to load all for a tiny picture you’ve got to squint to make out.
Then, we have the famous name-click sites that is very popular. The one where you have to click their fancy, graphically designed name to launch a brobdingnagian pop-up that starts the fortnight loading process.
Last but not least, there is those mussed-up “I won’t conform” landscape format scrolly sites where you have to drag the scrollbar to the right and when you reach the end you have to scroll all the damn way back to see a different series.
I’m a stickler for simplicity, and although some of these sites do include what I’ve so painfully described above, there is one thing they all have in common. The thumbnail. Ahhh, that beautiful little preview so I can guarantee I won’t be disappointed if I choose to click.
Oh, and If I haven’t posted as frequently, I apologize. It’s mid-term week.
