Three Photos that Changed My Life

One day I saw these photos. I never stopped dreaming about them. They never leave me. There is nothing about them I do not like. Because of them, I want to be a fashion photographer. I want to live my dream.

1. Kiley in the Forest by darkshapes Jay Parkinson. The way this is lit is beautiful and I have never seen it anywhere else. It has the perfect blend of mystery, subtlety, and represents to me a longing for something that she cannot reach.

2. The movement. The simplicity. It all just works. And all the flaws make it seemingly flawless. Patric Shaw is one of my idols.

3. Which brings me to the last, but not in the least. I like to call it Powder Face. To me she is beyond beautiful, and the intimate relationship we share when I stare into her eyes haunts me to this day. She is gorgeous, and the lighting really enhances that feeling. The curl in the hair. The inexplicable eye. The lips, eyebrow, and ivory skin all wrapped in fur. She takes me back to a place I’ve never known, yet this photo to me feels timeless. Another great job by my favourite, Patric Shaw.
