Merty Mert & Marky Mark

You may have heard of Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott - well-known rulers of the fashion kingdom. I mean, if the fashion world were an animal kingdom, I think it’s clear that Steven Meisel would obviously be the lion. But don’t be fooled, Mert & Marcus take spot number two as Timon & Pumba. Don’t ask me how they met, if they are “just friends” or why their photography is so popular. Mert is of Turkish decent and Marcus, English. This just goes to show you that the world can, indeed, work in harmony. It has been said that “Mert and Marcus work deeply with the light with visual results that often end up a little strange, disconnected of the reality, but of an incomparable beauty”. Now I know the grammar is terrible, but the essence is that they are an amazing duo, and their pictures surreal.
