Agyness Deyn

I’ve got quite the story for you today. Isn’t it quirky when models change their names to become more memorable? Like Kate Moss has moss in her name, which is a foresty plant, so that makes her special. Doutzen Kroes’s name I can barely spell, so it is unique. Iekeleine? Well, since you say it “eek-a-leen-a”, it sounds like lightning struck her mom when she was naming her. EEEKALEENA! However, Agyness, pronounced Ag-ness [Agnes] and not Age-ee-ness or Ag-y-ness, it sounds like she borrowed her name from a deep Irish sea creature. Friends with the Ogo Pogo and many others.

So I am a huge advocate that you can tell a lot about a person by their name. I mean, some kids just “suit” their name, like Steve Erckel. Or Kanye. But this chick, she looks a lot like a Laura Hollins to me. Hmmm, maybe that’s because THAT’S THE NAME SHE WAS BORN WITH! So although she changed her name, AND surname, this chick, in my opinion, rises up to fill the big shoes of someone named Agyness. She seems so badass it hurts. She even shaved her head at 17 and called herself a skinhead. Figures she’s British. Anyway, I just can’t get enough of her elvish look.

Check out her amazing accent. She is currently NUMBER FIVE on MDC’s Top 50 Female Models list. That is a feat in itself, and this chick is certainly not going anywhere anytime soon.
